MRI showed a large inhomogeneously enhanced tumor in the atrium of the right lateral ventricle with extraventricular invasion of the adjacent brain parenchyma.
The whole choroid fissure was clearly displayed as fissures full of cerebrospinal fluid on MRI.It go with choroid plexus of lateral ventricle congruously .
Findings: Smooth midline cavity separating the frontal horns of the lateral ventricles (anterior to the foramen of Monro) and appearing isodense with cerebrospinal fluid.
The two lateral ventricles drain their cerebrospinal fluid into the third ventricle, which is a narrow funnel-shaped cavity at the center of the brain.
Over time, if enough of the neurons die in the caudate and putamen, which together form the dorsal striatum, then it can cause actual loss of brain tissue volume in that area and expansion of the lateral ventricles.
